AAFS, a nonprofit social service agency founded in 2001, provides caring, compassionate assistance to Chicagoland residents, with special sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of Arab Americans.

Chicago Jewish Coalition For Refugees

The Chicago Jewish Coalition for Refugees convenes the Jewish community to act in support of refugees and asylum seekers by: 1) engaging in learning and dialogue about issues impacting refugees and asylum seekers; 2) connecting to volunteer opportunities to support refugees and asylum seekers locally; and 3) advocating for policies that protect refugees and asylum seekers.

The Chicago Refugee Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering through compassionate poverty relief services and community empowerment.

Compass Partnerships

The mission of COMPASS is to support the well-being and long-term potential of adults with interrupted education who arrived in our communities as refugees and asylees and are unable to support their families because they are underemployed, working in minimum wage, dead end jobs.

Karnika Iyengar is the Executive Director of a 501(c)(3) headquartered in Chicago that serves girls ages 14-21 who identify as refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers by providing them with mentors, tutoring and educational resources, and safe spaces.
